Unseen Bill Hicks Stand-Up Act

Bill Hicks is the only comedian to have his entire routine completely cut from the Late Show after taping:

Hicks’ mother, Mary, appeared on the January 30, 2009, episode of Late Show.  Letterman played Hicks’s routine in its entirety. Letterman took full responsibility for the original censorship and apologized to Mrs. Hicks.

This is what happened in his own words.  Funny: “The United States of Advertising.”  “Freedom of expression is guaranteed, if you’ve got the money!”

From Thirtytwo Short Films

Thirty Two Short Films About Glenn Gould is an award-winning 1993 film about the piano prodigy Glenn Gould played by Colm Feore.

In the fall of 1977 the U. S. Government sent two ships, Voyagers 1 and 2 into space where they are  eventually destined to reach the edge of our galaxy.

In the hope that someone, somewhere, would intercept these craft, a variety of messages were place on board that would be capable of communicating the existence of an intelligent creature living on a planet called  Earth.

Among these was included a short prelude by Johan Sebastian Bach as performed by Glenn Gould.  Voyagers 1 and 2 left our solar system respectively in 1987 and 1989.
