The Pearland Journal goes where the Houston Chronicle fears to tread:
An army of supporters watched Paul’s interviews, read his views on issues and marched their way into a phenomenal grassroots effort via Myspace, YouTube, Facebook and Meetup.com.
Paul said he isn’t completely surprised. “My positions are dramatically different from the other candidates, and younger people are more open to change and realize the debt they’re inheriting. The war gets their attention. I offer young people a chance to get out of social security.”
Younger voters, not to mention traditional Republicans of the Barry Goldwater school, leapt out of the proverbial woodwork. Of all the presidential Meetup groups as of early December, Paul has nearly 1,300. Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani? One.
And he’s from Freeport!!! Go to Meetup.com and join the fun!!!
